What is whistleblowing
Whistleblowing is the voluntary reporting of illegal acts or irregularities (corruption, fraud, etc.) committed within an organization (public or private) by employees, contractors, or suppliers, known as “whistleblowers.” In Italy, Legislative Decree 24/2023 guarantees the protection of the whistleblower’s identity and safeguards against retaliation, requiring secure reporting channels for organizations with more than 50 employees.
